PHP Install to Windows on Your PC, Create a Local Webhosting Server PHP MySQL



When you purchase a PC, the operating system is mostly already installed on the first place. However, some people decided to install the operating system by themselves. This method allows them to get affordable PC. Most importantly, they can customize the operating system as well. In this article, we are going to talk about how to install windows on your PC. Before you do that, it is important to create a local PHP MySQL development beforehand. This installation will create unique environment that makes the installation can be done easier.
Tutorial to Create Local PHP MySQL Development
1.      Get the file
In order to do the installation properly, the first thing in order is gathering what you need. In this case, you will need PHP, Apache, and MySQL server. All of them are already available on the internet. All you need to do is visiting the official website for each of them. Once you get there, download file directly from the website. Avoid download it from somewhere else because the file might have been modified.
2.      Extract them
The downloaded files are mostly in form of compressed file. To get the file compressed inside it, simply extract the file on your drive. What comes next is the installation. The first file you need to install is the Apache file. Some prompts will pop up in your screen. Instead of panicking, you can follow the prompts accordingly.
3.      Install the PHP
The next file to install is the PHP. Since you are at it, you might as well configure the PHP. Adjust the setting according to your computer. The configuration PHP should not be something complicated. You can use the Apache to help you. This is why the Apache should be installed before you install the rest. Once you complete it, you can install the MySQL file.
4.      Initiate the linking
Before you are ready to use the operating system, you will need to link the PHP to the path environment variable. This method will be a great help later. People sometimes forget to do this step. They are mostly ended up by making the operating system not installed properly. During the linking process, you might find several notifications appear on the screen. It is normal and part of the running program.
5.      Configure the PHP
The PHP needs to be configured as well after it is completely linked. In order to configure PHP as an Apache module, you can search the installed software from your drive. The directory for configuring the PHP is ideally at C:Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\conf\. On this directory, you will be able to see the extension of Apache. Go directly to it to configure the PHP.
6.      Perform the testing
At this rate, the operating system should be installed properly. How can you tell that the PHP does its job correctly? In order to figure this out, you need to do the testing. When you test a PHP file, it is recommended to start with something simple like creating database. If you did it correctly, it should run as expected.
